The Inter-Diocesan Registration and Accreditation Committee (IDRAC)

The Inter-Diocesan Registration and Accreditation Committee (IDRAC) has nominees from each of the 11 diocesan school systems in ������.

• The IDRAC advises the Catholic Schools ������ (CS������) Board on school registration policy.
• It reports directly to the ������ Education Standards Authority (NESA) (under delegation) on the compliance of member schools with the requirements for registration and accreditation under the Education Act.
• A CS������ Board Member chairs the IDRAC.
• The IDRAC meets four times per year.

IDRAC responsibilities

CS������, through the Inter-Diocesan Registration and Accreditation Committee (IDRAC) will:

• implement risk assessment processes based on:
  • a school’s history of meeting compliance
  • the quality of teaching and engagement in student learning, based on evidence such as – the standard of teaching, teacher expertise, enrolment, attendance and the quality of the educational program
  • changes to the school’s governance and structures
  • other indicators identified by CS������ that relate to a school’s compliance with the requirements for registration – and if applicable – accreditation.
• decide whether member schools or proposed members schools that join the CS������ registration system have satisfied the requirements for initial registration, continuing registration and/or initial accreditation
• meet NESA’s notification responsibilities
• advise the CS������ Board on school registration policy
• report directly to NESA (under delegation) in relation to the compliance of schools with the requirements for registration and accreditation under the Act and the rules of NESA as set out in the ������ Registration Systems and Member Schools Manual (‘the Manual’).

Non-diocesan schools

Any Catholic schools that are not part of a diocesan school system that are subsequently eligible to become member schools of the Registration System will be subject to similar governance and monitoring processes.
